Kellie Pickler Goes Veg!

Kellie PicklerAmerican country music artist, Kellie Pickler, cooked up a vegetarian storm on ABC-TV’s “The Chew,” before her recent performance in Las Vegas. The winner of many music awards, Pickler said that she chose to live a vegetarian lifestyle after being exposed to the inhumane ways animals are exploited. Also, she said that since becoming “a vegetarian and replacing the junk I was eating with whole foods my energy shot way up!”

Sometimes it is difficult to maintain a healthy vegetarian diet especially when being on the road, but Pickler has managed to solve that problem by bringing along her own stove. She finds that cooking anything vegetarian, such as pasta, zucchini, and squash is “pretty easy.”

Kellie describes her vegetarian path as the lifestyle that puts her at her best.  “When people ask me what kind of ‘diet’ I’m on, I’m like, ‘I don’t like that word. It’s not a diet. It’s a lifestyle.’ Everyone finds the right lifestyle for them. For me, this is what works. This is me at my best.”

We've written several nationally published books, including our latest book "In Pursuit of Great Food: A Plant-based shopping guide", which provides valuable information on what to buy and how to choose great food. Our other books include "Say No to Meat" which gives the information and real-world advice that new vegetarians need the most, in an easy question-and-answer style, the fact-filled "The Vegetarian Solution", and a wide range of delicious recipes in "The Veg-Feasting Cookbook". All our books are available in local bookstores, and via our website or Amazon.com.
